End-Of-The-Year Recap/Goals for 2017

Hey y'all, this is my last post of 2016.  I can't believe 2016 is coming to an end.  It's been a bizarre year for us all.  Instead of dwelling on this year's bizarre and sadly disappointing events, let's do a year ends recap of 2016.

Shocking events of 2016:

1. The electoral college made Donald Trump our new president
2. Bragelina have called it quits - things didn't end well
3. Both David Bowie and Prince passed away this year
4. Actress/Author Carrie Fisher passed away
5. For Harry Potter fans, particularly my older sister, Alan Rickman passed away
6. Aleppo crisis

These are a few things I could pull off the top of my head.  I know there are plenty of others things I could add.

I'd like to take the time to create a list/reflect on of things I've accomplished/done this year.  

• Went to the AMC Convention in Tulsa back in July - This was a goal I had in this post
• Went to Newark, Arkansas and saw where my Grandmother grew up when she lived there
• Explored Blanchard Springs Cavern in Arkansas
• Saw Offspring live with my brother Chris, sister Brittany, and cousin Celeste
• Saw Demi Lovato (Grammy nominee), Nick Jonas, and Mike Posner (Grammy nominee) live at the co-headlined (Nick & Demi) Future Now Tour with Brittany and Celeste - This was a goal I wanted had in this post

I want to thank all my friends and family.  Thanks for y'all's support.  I'm glad to have shared these moments (offline) with y'all.  Toast to a new year full of new and exciting experiences!

I want to share my goals for 2017:

• Go the the AMC Convention in Las Vegas
• Start writing a novel
• Continue working on my BA in English (Creative Writing) - no I don't plan on teaching
• Post on my blog on a regular basis

I hope my goals for 2017 will continue to grow and be accomplished.

Silent Night - Demi Lovato

Pop singer Demi Lovato has had a busy year.  She co-headlined a tour with Nick Jonas, released a her single 'Body Say' on tour, and recently became a Grammy nominated artist just to name a few things.  Just in time for the holidays, and despite telling fans she's "taking a break from music," Demi released a studio recorded cover of a Christmas classic -- 'Silent Night'.  Check out her rendition below:

Fate of the Furious - Official Trailer

On Sunday December 11th, 2016 Fast and the Furious released the official trailer for their upcoming film -- Fate of the Furious.  The trailer for Fate of the Furious left me in a state of shock.  After years of riding along, I couldn't believe that after everything Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family went through that he would betray them.  Dom and his team managed to survive crazy car heists in multiple places (LA, Tokyo, Dominican Republic, Rio, London, Abu Dhabi), Han and Gisele's deaths, Letty's amnesia upon her return in Fast Six, and many other crazy things.  To see Dom go against his team/family was gut-wrenching.

This action-packed trailer reveals that Dom has turned against his team to work with a high-tech terrorist played by Charlize Theron.  Now the team has to decipher why he's doing what he's doing, and capture him.  Dom will be the biggest challenge the team has yet to face.  Fate of the Furious is slated to be released on April 14th, 2017.
